You realize there’s a principled reason to oppose suspending the gas tax, because it starves roads and transit of funding when gas tax revenue is already down due to adoption of more fuel-efficient vehicles, right? It’s not just about scoring political points.

So I rebook immediately on a 6:55 flight. Walk to the gate and people are lining up for boarding. Promising! Then it gets delayed until 7:45.
