The government should have a competing company in every "essential" market. Food, housing, clothing, water, energy, telecoms, transportation. All of these things should be controlled with a governments ability to undercut those seeking to make profits.

Obama will almost guaranteed not be the candidate on the ballot in 2028, but I would feel very good about him attempting a run now for all of these reasons.
And, much like Trump will, he can channel all of his months of campaigning and support into the actual candidate.

I've always viewed this from the flip side. Media is so divested, that it's less what some media leader chose to talk about, and more about what people choose to consume.
