Yeah, we do that too. I’m going to look more into the plaster slab because our pieces always dry out more at the top than the bottom, even with flipping them.

Our attempts so far have been
Plastic container: doesn’t dry at all
Plastic bag cover: takes forever to dry
Towel: dries in 1-3 days, no consistency in drying time.

I’m really starting to think we need to find a way to control the humidity and temp of the room.

We have a large plastic container for our damp box, but we don’t have the plaster slab at the bottom because it’s too shallow. I wonder if that makes any difference.

So, yesterday the pieces were too wet to trim but today they were almost too dry! Figuring out the timing is so difficult. Sometimes it’s dry out, sometimes it’s super humid, sometimes warm, and sometimes cold. How do other potters deal with this? Do we need a sealed room?

These are a little too wet to finish trimming, so they’ll wait until tomorrow. The other pic is the cute entrance to our itty bitty yard. Audra’s been working on the driftwood fence and my momma made the cute sign. It looked especially magical the other night.

Another productive day! I was trying for a thinner vase but couldn’t get it to work. I like most of the results anyway. Ignore the bottoms, I was being lazy.

Slowly chipping away on some new bits. This one is a nice dinner plate size. I think it’d be bad if bunnies had unicorn horns actually, in Watership Down they seemed to fight lots and I just don’t think they should have access to that kind of weapon.
