4th grade, catholic school, we watched something about dinosaurs. afterwards an otherwise completely quiet, complacent girl (whose mom was a teacher there) was upset, ranting to me. that was dumb, why did we watch that, dinosaurs are fake anyways. it was a real wait you people are Serious? moment
funny enough i was also like "wow i feel like there's so many protein-[snack food] type products coming out now, what a nice coincidence for someone like me who struggles to hit those macros"
i think it's because it coincided with me trying working out to gain muscle, and yes, when you are trying to do that you should be eating more protein than usual, and so. i figured that was just the case for everyone else eating more protein too
no lie i didn't even catch for a while that the protein craze is the new diet fad gimmick thing, i just thought everyone was trying to get ripped

legal name is alexis; i have no qualms with sharing it as i don't consider it a deadname, but i do prefer to be called lex. i DID hate it though, where i grew up (ohio) it was more of a "girl's name" but where i moved to (socal) i noticed people of many genders with that name. so it's chill now 👍
this doesn't really count as Naming Myself i don't think but it's just a shortened version of my legal name. not in the nickname sense though, nobody ever called me lex, i just started introducing myself as such nods
