Sepsis Research FEAT is delighted to have Samia join the team and looks forward to the development of new strategic partnerships in the advancement of sepsis research & awareness.

With a first-class degree in chemistry and doctoral research in earth sciences and oceanography, Samia started her career at @nature.com and later moved into philanthropy and development for nonprofits.

The founder of Sponsor Scientific, established in 2020, Samia has a track record of developing new, high value funding relationships, including strategic corporate partnerships and sponsorships.

The updated guidance reflects one of the top priorities identified through the James Lind Alliance process that Sepsis Research FEAT funded. Research priority number 1 asks ‘how diagnosis can become faster, more accurate and reliable?’.

Sepsis Research FEAT welcomes the new NICE guidance on suspected sepsis in people aged 16 or over. The focus on quicker recognition, better assessment and early treatment supports the work the charity fund across the UK.
