The game that @mmmmmmmercury.bsky.social and I designed together is getting closer!

Here is a picture of the final box render but also a photo of the physical copy laid out!

What do you think of it?

I can relate to this. But when I start just reading on here I feel like I would have preferred to spend my time elsewhere. Reading a book for example.

I think maybe this style of social media just isn't for me.

That makes sense. I am trying not to be a "brand guy" so much. And more of a person. And on here I have found it harder to relate to other people.

Maybe I just need to start asking people I want to connect with to find me on FB instead of BSKY.

Maybe I just don't "get it." The format here feels like it is designed for a user to make a statement that they think will get a reaction rather that just have normal human-human interaction.

I'm curious if some people have a feeling that it is more of the latter than the former.

Are you posting as yourself or as a brand?
I don't get aggressive, toxic, condescending interaction on Facebook. But I post as myself, and only my friends can see it. I don't count toxic people among my friends.

I did enjoy Twitter for some time. But honestly, never found the connection I did elsewhere. This format has always felt to me like I had to carefully craft a message to shout and hope that people engaged.

As much as I think Meta is garbage, I feel like I have more interaction with people on FB.

Can I ask my friends on here what the appeal of a bsky style social media app is for you?

For me it feels a bit lonely. Like speaking into a crowded room and hoping someone notices or responds.

How is your experience different than that?

My fitness watch tells me every hour to "get up and move" which is a good idea except usually I just wander to the kitchen for a little snack and I think it might be doing more harm than good.

Positioning America as a savior is an interesting choice. We could certainly argue that America's role in WW2 saved existing countries but since then our legacy is primary one of destruction, one of coups, one of regime change. Avoiding America's salvation is a gift.

You have a poor understanding of history. And are apparently just generally unpleasant. I guess you'd like to make that my problem but I think you overestimate the importance of your opinion to me. Sorry you don't like questions. Perhaps sharing them publicly is not for you.

You aren't being lectured. I asked you a question and you went off the rails. This is pretty embarrassing for you.

It is. And my family were among the first supporters of Czech democracy. Trying to tell me how I am permitted to present myself online is the definition of unseemly. Not liking to have your opinions questioned doesn't give you free reign to be a jerk. 🀷

How does telling people who are taking baby steps into activism that what they are doing is "immaterial and ineffective" encourage participation instead of despondency?

It doesn't work. It just alienates anyone left-leaning.
America has a right leaning party and a center-right party.
You know who's passionate about voting these days?
Only the literal Nazis.

Americans chose a man who told them they wouldn't have to vote anymore. They clearly don't give a shit about Democracy.
