Northorpe station and signal box on the 8th of August 1956.
Situated between Gainsborough and Kirton in Lindsay, the station had close the previous year.
The signal box still survives today along with the station building.

Snowplough duty for 31214 and 31302 at Brigg on 16th February 1979.
The greatest problem on this day wasn't the snow but the massive icicles inside the tunnel at Kirton in Lindsey.

2 passengers on, 5 passenger off, the "unacceptable" 1 round trip Monday to Friday service as locals call it.

Sammy the Swan has been rescued by the RSPCA tonight at the side of Brigg signal box and level crossing.
Sadly Sammy cannot read a train timetable, and was far too early for the 1104 Northern Railway service to Cleethorpes tomorrow morning.

The 31st May 1982 was a Whit Monday.
A day when BR wants to maximise on takings with day trippers going to the seaside.
Here we see the morning working from Sheffield Midland, a strengthened unit, pictured about to leave Brigg on its way to Cleethorpes.

Impressed with the new trains, even if the timetable was all over the place and massive gaps today.
An average 12 minute frequency seems to be an aim.

After working a service from Sheffield via the Brigg Line, a Class 110 is seen at Cleethorpes station in late 1987.
In the bottom left of the picture, is a pair of wooden steps which were used at the station to access trains from the lower level platforms.
