The mangaka for Beastars/Sanda really understands the terror of sexuality, the insanely huge-feeling stakes of having a crush, how horrifying. Sex and fear, a primordial relationship. It makes me feel validated to see it, the entire push-and-pull of horror in love. I pity those who do not relate

The “bad” performance is better than the “good” one because it interacts with you. Even if you write off the idea that it’s “bad on purpose” completely, it’s still a disfigured monster that uses your tolerance for weird voice acting to surprise you, or hurt you, or to protect itself.

When Maria first starts flirting with James and James has that awkward pause to be like "Wait, *is* this what I want?"...

In the remake I imagine two well-adjusted adults pretending to flirt or be embarrassed. The original feels like something is genuinely breaking at the seams.

Playing through the SH2 remake since it's on PS Plus. All other thoughts aside, it's amazing how much the ghost of the old cutscene direction still lingers in my mind, and I haven't played the OG in a decade plus. The old faces and performances are way too essential to remake.

Every day I wake up feeling fine and then as the day progresses I keep hallucinating feelings of food between my teeth or the feeling of my teeth breaking off or falling out. I’m feeling the inside of my mouth so neurotically that it’s misaligning my jaw and making it worse. My face fucking hurts.

I have been plagued with illness and various physical ailments, especially intense discomfort in my mouth and teeth, for the past few weeks. I’ve got an appointment lined up but I’ve been losing my goddamn mind lately.

I don't think it's a part of any specific show. Seems like its got Digimon from every series.

Sadly, I was unable to digivolve my DemiDevimon before the demo was over. 😔

Played through the Digimon Story Time Stranger demo and am interested in playing more. Kind of a shame it feels so cheap and is item no. 10,0087 on the list of games that want to look like Persona, but stop short at getting the little details right that make those games feel good.

Cross (an alien refugee) is pessimistic about coexistence; he believes his species should preempt the inevitable unfairness of that will come from coexisting with humans. Yuka (human) has just shared a shocking fact about her mortality. For her, the “endless cycle” is a material thing to abandon. In Jujutsu Kaisen, characters tend not to discuss philosophical issues in an emotional manner. Characters come to their point of view with a sense of pragmatism and detachment, yet the heart of series is about wanting to have intimate connections with others in spite of their instinct towards emotional independence. The objective, in the end, is to exorcize the “curse” of coexistence. If JJK1 was about the curse that exists between individuals, is JJK Modulo about the curse between groups?
