ハードウェアの値段が大幅に上がっている。特にメモリーとDiskは入手が難しい。 しかも、どこまで値段が上がるかわからない。こまったなぁ。

Hardware prices have gone up sharply. Memory and disks in particular are getting hard to obtain. And on top of that, there’s no telling how much higher the prices will climb. This is really troublesome.

忙しすぎる。2026に入ってからまだ50日も経ってないのに、長期出張3回、日帰り出張2回とか、さすがに体がきつい…

昨日、頼まれてライブ動画配信やってんだが、obsで録画時間設定したら、その時間で配信が途切れた。

結局、一長一短なのだが、まだしばらくはproxmoxには移行できそうにない。

だが、運用面では、proxmoxでiSCSIをshared storageにしてる時、vmのsnapshotやcloneに対応していなかったり、iSCSIのlun対応が不十分であったりと言うあたりがどうしても困る。

実際若干遅いし、機能面でもgpuのsr-iovやその機能を利用しているvmのmigrationなど、proxmoxが優れている点も多くある

In fact, it is somewhat slow, and there are many aspects where Proxmox is superior in terms of features as well, such as GPU SR-IOV and the migration of VMs utilizing that functionality.

xcp-ngは、正直に言って、実装は古いし、xoも含め管理ツールはいまいちで、vmwareやproxmoxより良いとは思えない。

To be honest, the implementation of XCP-ng is outdated, and the management tools, including XO, are not very impressive, so I can't say it's better than VMware or Proxmox.

xcp-ngに満足しているわけではない。だが、shared storage(特にiscsiなど)の取り扱いや、vmの取り扱いに関しては、明確にproxmoxが劣る(但しcephはのぞく)

I am not fully satisfied with XCP-ng. However, when it comes to handling shared storage (especially iSCSI) and managing VMs, Proxmox is clearly inferior—except for Ceph.

仮想化環境の基盤としてXCP-ngを使ってきたが、思うところがあってproxmoxを試してみた。結論から言えば、これは自分の用途には向かないと言わざるを得ない。

問題は、carpの代表アドレスをPgPool-IIやPostgreSQLのMasterが変わった時にちゃんと追従させることや、切り替え中のサービス停止時間、sprit brainを起こさないようにすること。

The problem is to make sure that the deginated address of CARP follows properly when PgPool-II or PostgreSQL's Master changes, and to avoid service downtime or SPRIT BRAIN during the switchover.

I use a Keychron K5 keyboard. It’s an good keyboard for me with hot-swappable key switches, compatibility with both Mac and Windows, full-size models, and JIS layout options.

I’m very fond of it, but since the key layout is slightly compressed, so my fingers just can’t seem to fully adapt to it.

FreeBSD上でbird3を使ってiBGP peerしているが、片方が死んでcore dumpする...追いかける暇がない...

I'm using bird3 on FreeBSD to establish iBGP peering, but one side crashes and generates a core when it fails. Unfortunately, I don’t have time to investigate further.
