I don't know when the last time a game has instantly grabbed hold of my attention and refused to let go like Expedition 33 has. I started playing last night and just... everything in the first two hours was a cascading sequence of events that was a perfect mix of beautiful and macabre and intrigue.

No valid. This is still probably gonna be more expensive than the Quest 3, though, to be real. Not as much as an Index but still probably looking at $650+, if I had to guess

"Fluxpose" are the trackers in question. They claim to track absolute positioning via magnetic fields and I can't say I understand how they get to that, the preview video looked really cool. I'm willing to go out on a limb and try it to see if it's bullshit or not.

I know people were hoping for the Deckard to end up being The Index 2, but there are plenty of higher end VR headsets on the market. There needs to be more options for cheaper, entry level hardware besides just Meta, if people want VR to get anywhere in becoming even remotely mainstream.

Today's a good day for VR news. A new Valve headset that looks like it's intended to be an entry level competitor to the Quest instead of an upgrade to the Index (honestly good choice on Valve's part) and a new type of FBT trackers better than lighthouses and slimes are launching crowdfunding.
