I think chickens do have a place, as if they are free range they are great at eating crop pests. And they are fairly self-replicating. Though you need enough to account for regular predation.

On Mother’s Day, we happened to be gifted free tix to the Twins game that day. Our family was sitting there, cheering, eating snacks, and yet I couldn’t stop thinking about “is this what Germany felt like in 1933? Normalcy feeling so wrong?” (At least to some people.)

As many of you have heard, there was a large fire at the Minnesota Renaissance Festival today (probably lightning strike). Area burned: the 600s from New Pterodactyl Leather to the coffee booth (which did not burn). My heart goes to the independent shop owners who lost their buildings today.

If pain levels are too high, I won’t attend, but I want to try.

Anyone have info on the April 19th protests? (Like time etc?). I’m limited mobility and would need to bring my cane and probably a camp chair as I cannot walk long distances quickly or without support, and cannot stand for long periods.

That was one of the devastating situations about having a newborn just as Covid hit (born end of March 2020). All those great offers of help suddenly were yanked away. Not because there was a lack of desire, but it was just too dangerous.

When I was a young teen I helped out with a Nature Conservancy prairie burn. It was pretty awesome.
