And finished exactly at noon. Then did smoke cleansing. Now rolled and set aside until 12am on the 18th for the rune embroidery on the New Moon.

Acrylic Forest Green yarn. Size US 7 bamboo needles. Single ordinary stitch after cast on.

Finishing open edge with a double running stitch to prevent the edge rolling that I'm unhappy with.

Crone shawl #Knitting project update:

So, the fringe knotting is completed. I am now finishing up the top edge with a doubled running stitch. I didn't like how it kept rolling up. Once this is done in an hour, I'll smudge it with mugwort, sage, and cedar. Then set aside until New Moon for runes.

Multi pastel 70% wool, 30% viscose.
US 10.5 bamboo needles.

New #Knitting side project.
Still experimenting with the yarn mom gave me. This is wool/viscose blend.

No idea really what I'm going to do with it. A vague, distant idea is just now forming. I may take all of these experiments and sew them together into a blanket or wall hanging... maybe.

I'm flowing through intuitive magic for this. Opening myself to see each stage and allowing the shawl's future self tell me in the Now what is needed to bring it into being.

I'll finish the final stage of the Crone shawl starting at midnight on the 18th which is the New Moon. Embroidered runes at the ends, name sigil centered back.

A lot of numerology has gone into every aspect.

Energy from a child, mother, and elder, Elements, day, night.

Things are flying along. Still on track for finishing Friday. Tomorrow I'll finish the knotting. Then comes a running stitch to get rid of edge roll. Final stage is embroidery.

Forest Green acrylic yarn. Size 7 bamboo needles. 18 inch cut strands for the fringe.

Today's progress report on mom's Crone shawl #Knitting project.

Finished knotting the fringe onto the body of the shawl. I began the 2nd knot row, using half the strands from 2 adjacent tassels to form the next knot. Still have a bit of the bottom & 1 side left to do.

Identified something to fix.

Porch Troll is faintly pleased. Playfully flirted with convenience store clerk.

I then nuked it.πŸ’₯

Me: How old are you?

Cute Clerk: 20

Me: *nods* That explains it.

Cute Clerk: What?

Me: The baby face.

Cute Clerk: 😫

Me: 😁 *as I walk away*

2 more skeins of yarn fringe knotted onto the shawl edge. I've rounded the last corner and ran out of cut yarn, plus alloted time for today. It's probably another 1/2 skein for the last side. The shawl spread out on my porch bench. That's a lot of fringe.

Today's progress on mom's Crone shawl #Knitting project.

2 skeins added today. It'll be another 1/2 skein to finish up.

Once done, it'll be doing the secondary knots between the tassles. Then that stage is done & I begin the embroidery final stage.

Possibly done entirely by Friday if no issues.

Alternatively: Because when everyone does well, has basic necessities & security, our collective well-being improves. We are only safe when literally everyone is safe. It lowers collective risks when individual risks are addressed collectively. This is evidence based reality, not wishful thinking.

Thanks! This was a request from my mom. It was her last project that she had planned for herself but her hands got so bad she couldn't. She had all the yarn. Originally, it would have been crochet but I only knit. She was ok with the switch of style.

The final stage after the fringe has been knotted is... embroidered runes in lavender Kashmir yarn (her color choice) at each side, 3 inches high. In the middle will be her name sigil 6 inches high.

She told me the basics of what she wanted. The shawl told me everything else, which she agreed with.

1 skein of the fringe knotted to the shawl. I'm now able to guess it'll take 2 more skeins to finish the initial knots onto the knit. The strands with knot end up about 7". The shawl unfolded showing how much further I have to go. I can probably do 1 set of the extra knots I planned but not the 2nd.

Crone shawl #Knitting project for my mom. Strands after knots average 7 inches, which any #Gay man can tell you is respectable! Ha! Trying hard to keep to every 3rd stitch placement of the knots.

Working on cutting the fringe lengths for my mom's Crone shawl. 18" per strand. 7 strands per knot on the shawl, doubled over then knotted on the shawl. I've already finished cutting 1 skein into 18" lengths. I'm not certain yet home many skeins the fringe will take but I'm hoping I have enough. 5 skeins left and counting.

Crone shawl #Knitting project, next stage. Doing a knotted fringe along 3 sides. Knotted at the base, then separated into 2 bundles and 1 bundle knotted to the one next to it. If I have enough length, I'll then do a 2nd knot back to the other side.

I just know that I have a lot of cutting to do.

Flash freeze and peat bog have some of the highest full preservation rates. I wasn't really aware until this morning's random thought that I had so much mummy information in brain storage. I didn't even mention the Buddhist honey method...

Today's random #ADHD "Oh, look, a squirrel!" thought:

What way would you prefer to become a mummy?

1) Flash freeze into permafrost.

2) Completely submerged into a peat bog.

3) Wrapped & placed on an Andean mountain top.

4) Scooped out, wrapped, & intense desert heat.

My brain baffles me often.

Psyche resting in my arms. Her last week. Psyche resting in front of the royal heater. She put that mouse there. Psyche resting in her favorite solar recharging spot in front of the French doors. This was her last session.

Missing Psyche (5-16-04/3-8-22) so much. She took part of my soul with her. I kept part of hers within me.

Yeah. I remember her entire birth date. Just like I remember Eros is 3-7-23... exactly 1 year after she departed.

High winds today. Barometric pressure change has flared the #CMT1A and #Fibro pain. Spending it in bed, dozing, playing Fallout 4, or watching videos depending on focus ability. The fall yesterday didn't help.

Oh well, just going to rest and wait things out.

I've got the lots of stones covered... to my hubby's dismay! I've done Chakra work in the past. Right now, I'm doing PTSD/CPTSD therapy formally and supplementing with a variety of stones. I rely a lot on Blue Moonstone, Rose quartz, and Labradorite. Also Pearl, Hematite, and Black Tourmaline.

The shawl project for my mom has reached 4 skeins.

Deep green acrylic yarn. Size 7 bamboo needles. Sectioned at 10 stitches per ring spacer, 90 total stitches per row. Total is 55 inches. Mom had said 5 skeins, but changed her mind that 4 skeins is enough. Next step is to do the finishing edge before starting on the knotted fringe.

Shawl project for my mom is at the next stage. Just need to finish the edge before beginning the knotted fringe.

Overall, chuffed with how this is coming along. Far faster than I originally thought it would take for the #Knitting portion of it. Minimal flaws. Consistent tension, uniform stitches.

Update: Completed my inventory of scrapes from the fall: both knees, left ankle, right hand 3 fingers(middle, ring, & pinky) plus palm.

Only 2 fingers and right knee showing blood seepage.

I've wised up & took meds (pain, muscle relaxer, & anti-inflammatory). Remembered my Adderall & anti-anxiety.

Very much so!

I sometimes have heated conversations with the universe about grievances... at least it let's off steam and I never expect an actual response/change to what I'm bitching about currently.

It's why I give your posts ❀️. So you know you are seen. When my instincts trigger, I comment. Often gifs/pics. Low processing things that are brain candy, but positive and often humorous. 😝

I lurk in the shadows of my Torch Domain, watching quietly for moments a slight positive action could help.

As I sit contemplating this latest fall, I'm staring suspiciously at the sky.

Am I the universe's experiment in how much pain can a human tolerate? How many varieties of pain? How about layers of types?

Seriously considering test subject revolt & refusal to cooperate. This is getting ridiculous!
