Dog standing on some slabs of rock on the beach with tide going out. Sky is a mix of blue and pale orange. A black lab is almost silouhetted by the light

Having been away without the dogs for a few days they got me up at 6am this morning all excited so off we went to the beach at #Bamburgh #Northumberland

Happy Sunday! Today we had something completely different at sunrise – overcast clouds that splayed out and allowed a range of colors to sift through. Tap for full size. I hope you have a great day!

We know this fight is exhausting. That’s not an accident wearing us down is their whole strategy. But you keep showing up anyway, and that means everything to us. Thank you for not giving up. We’re in this together.

I love that so many people read this list because of the hilarity of #8 & #9 back to back, but also now lots of people know that sex shops and the lottery are illegal in Alabama AND we have a grocery tax. 😂

See we're laughing, and we're learning!

there's this episode of 30 Rock where Larry King keeps interviewing Tracey Jordan during a financial crisis that he keeps confidently having bananas incorrect opinions about and anyway that was a lot less ridiculous than this picture

Just so you’re aware, a touch screen does not recognize when it’s poked with a Reese’s Stick.

I know, I just tried to change the song in my car with one.

Can’t wait until he’s gone. But mainstream media is dead from self-inflicted wounds and cowardice.

The revolution will not be televised, nor in a newspaper.

The revolution will be streamed, podcasted, and substacked.

If anyone wasn't of the belief that he's trying to create a state-run media, the fact that he shared this should take care of any hesitation on that front.

The is the federal government telling news stations to provide favorable coverage of the war or their licenses will be pulled.

A truly extraordinary moment.

We aren't on the verge of a totalitarian takeover. WE ARE IN THE MIDDLE OF IT.

Act like it.

What I always hear: “We can’t afford to pay our workers more than $15 an hour.”

What I never hear: “We can’t afford to pay our CEO millions of dollars a year.”

Funny how that works.

Father, 99, and son, 80, feast on free oysters after cashing in on decades-old restaurant promise | CBC Radio For Jimmy Rush, 80 and his father Jim Rush, 99, it was a delectable deal too good to pass up — even if it meant waiting more than half a century to claim.

A rather fun and wholesome Alabama story made the CBC front page today!

a tan chihuahua-sized rodent with a graying muzzle is being held aloft in front of a white wall. the creature looks at the camera with dark, round eyes. each of his ears are the size of his head, sticking out on either side like satellites. he looks a little embarrassed that he's been caught.

We only rate dogs. This is clearly a gigantic mouse that someone just found in their home. Please gently return them to the garden and only send dogs. Thank you… 12/10 #SeniorPupSaturday (IG: kitsune_inu)

Ocean Beach Pier stretches diagonally across the frame at sunset in San Diego, California. The pier stands in dark silhouette above rolling waves while streaks of pink and orange clouds glow against a deep blue sky. Wet sand in the foreground reflects the colors of the sky and the repeating columns of the pier, creating a mirrored pattern beneath the structure.

I make good money. Why do I still feel like this? The middle class was a policy project. Every piece of it has been unbundled and repriced — and now two very different groups are living two very different nightmares.

I'd probably ride a bike regularly if my area had bike lanes.
I've considered using scooters, skateboards, and even roller skates because I want an option faster than walking that still doesn't require me to share the road with the multi-ton metal death machines that we call automobiles.

Alexandria needs to amend our “no e-bikes or scooters on sidewalks” ordinance to only apply when there is a dedicated (ideally protected) bike lane.

I could also see having it apply anywhere the speed limit is 20mph or less. But we’d have to lower speed limits for that.

Horrific. Georgia police charged a woman with murder after she allegedly used misoprostol. Hospital may have reported her.

@pregnancyjust.bsky.social calls it “an unprecedented murder charge for an alleged abortion, even though no law in the state of Georgia permits such a charge." bit.ly/46W2Ezb

Search-and-rescue crews were “flying blind” trying to rescue survivors from deadly tornadoes that hit the Midwest last week.

Why? Because Kristi Noem hadn't approved FEMA’s $200,000 contract with a tornado-tracking tool.

But she had time to spend $220 million on anti-immigrant ads. Priorities.
