I’m trying to get #drawing as part of a weekly routine, but forcing myself through the discomfort of setting aside the time to draw is difficult for me.

Maybe if I went back to previous art ideas, like fleshing out concept designs from my books…?

I’m working to improve myself and my habits for writing, so I’m looking to Hemingway and our shared dread for blank pages.

I noticed I have a lot of “no thoughts, head empty” moments, so any way to get an edge is always appreciated.

It’s days like today, when I’m feeling depressed, that I am thankful for the good days, as few as they seem, when they do eventually find me.

I have survived through all of my worst days.

It is okay to not be okay today.

Tomorrow is another chance to be better than I was yesterday.

#drawing update: Work on the small book has begun… and I honestly have no idea what I’m doing. 🤣

I’m welcome to any suggestions, but please keep them SFW.
Truth be told, most of my free time is actually at work. 🤫

Also it’s backwards because I’m left-handed. More comfortable for me this way.

#drawing update: my mom recently gifted me a charcoal pencil set, so I got some supplies for my future works.

Small book is for planning and ideas, bigger book for illustrations.
Definitely going to need a few erasers for charcoal, and the markers are for later.

I don’t normally get political, but I drew this on 01/20, the day USA got its new “president”.

I am concerned about how the country is going to get through the next four years.

An upside down USA flag, a known symbol of distress, was the only thing I could think to draw that day.
