Shelter in Lebanon: The first step towards dignity and recovery Find out how Jinan, CARE's WASH and Shelter Manager at CARE Lebanon, is ensuring dignity and inclusion are at the heart of CARE's shelter response in Lebanon.

A year ago, over 137,700 people were displaced in #Lebanon and living in 821 shelters set up in schools, gymnasiums and cultural centres.

In a separate Israeli airstrike, Al-Samer Medical Center in Gaza City, run by our partner, the Palestinian Medical Relief Society, was destroyed.

The center saw between 700 and 1,000 patients daily, providing primary healthcare, women’s health services, mental health, psychosocial support.

CARE is devastated to announce the tragic killing of our partner staff member, Tasneem Shublaq, 27, along with her two children Sham, 5 and Suleiman, 3 as a result of an Israeli airstrike on her apartment building on 20 September.
