Unfortunately October has been the MOST CHAOTIC WORK MONTH OF MY LIFE and as such I never got around to continuing these :( Suffice it to say I’m bummed. I had a lot of fun songs to share… Next year!!!

DAY FIVE - “Grim Grinning Ghosts” by Buddy Baker and X Atencio
An obvious choice, but a really fucking good one. Brings back memories of going to Disneyland as a kid and being genuinely spooked in the very best way. Haunting in the truest sense of the word. A classic.

DAY FOUR - “A Forest” by The Cure
There are so many The Cure songs I could (and likely will) add to this list, but there’s something to be said about this song as goth rock paragon.
Also, I’d never seen the video for this song and got jump-scared by normie Robert Smith.

DAY THREE - “skeletons” by hard life
I heard this song in a Kia commercial a few years ago and now my partner and I can only ever say “skeletons” in a British accent. Nowhere near the spookiest song on this list, but def one of the catchiest. Love me some skele-uns.

DAY TWO - “Little Dark Age” by MGMT
I did not appreciate this song nearly enough when it was released; it wasn’t until after I separately discovered my love for goth music did I realize what this song was trying to do musically. Lyrically? Maybe a little too close to home.

DAY ONE - “Far Away and Long Ago” by Foxtails Brigade
Starting off strong with one of my favorite ever spooky songs. The light and whimsical turns twisted and sinister. Killer percussion, which is just a Foxtails staple.
