I didn't ask you to do anything of the sort. I was trying to explain and understand. Don't put your decisions on me. You didn't have to do it, I didn't ask, you did it anyway. That's on you.
I am, however, done here. I was trying to get my point across and failed at that but I have never been hostile or rude or condescending to anyone here. And while I am thankful for you explaining your pov and helping me understand it, I am done being antagonized. Not leftist enough apparently.
And there is the hostility again. I wasn't trying to divide anyone or telling them how to feel. I was asking people to stick to what's happening because I think nuance is important. If that came across as telling others how to feel although I repeatedly told them I get why then that's on me.
So both is kinda right. But fascists have always been good at using divide and conquer to win. They hate unity. They need us scattered, distracted and/or compliant. But I will give it to you that the more I think and talk about it the more I realize that my stupor is a form of compliance...
Well yes and no. Fascism wins because leftists and liberals let them win. But currently I see the political parties in my country fight each other while the right sneaks past. I see my Antifa friends fighting each other over moral lines while the fascists are planning mass deportations. 1/
Maybe it *does* start with demanding accountability from all bad fish, big and small...I just don't have the bandwidth anymore. There's JKR and trans rights, there's the Epstein situation, Gaza, Iran, ice, right wing parties winning globally, Ukraine, Disney, Amazon, meta, my local politics, ..../2
I wouldn't call it lazy. Just defeated. I look at the governmental roster in the US and I just feel numb. I look at what's happening in other countries, including my own and I can't fathom why those that gave the power do not act against what is happening in briad daylight. And maybe you're right /1

I am talking about the comment thread as a whole not this specific one. As I said: I get it. The whole thing is a dumpster fire. But looking at *gestures at everything* the way accountability was asked for on every. Single. Dropout post. ...what were the expectations here?

My mistake, I wasn't saying you specifically but people in the comments under every dropout video have been saying all kinds of wild shit. But specificity is I think necessary. Dropout is not directly collaborating with the lapd but with a TV show that does.
It's absolutely fine holding people to moral standards. My issue is the blatant unification of everything that doesn't hold this moral standard as evil. Sam Reich is not trump and dropout isn't Disney. It doesn't make their decision less immoral but do not lose the nuance.
You are right, I will shift focus to the things that enrage me more and go back to speaking out against Amazon, Disney, warner bros, meta, maga, Epstein, trump and global politics. Engaging here will only result in anonymous insults against me and I don't have time for that.
You still haven't given any explanation of what "guilty of doing the thing" actually is. Instead you are insulting me, which tells me you either can't or won't put it into words. Again: I completely understand that you are upset with the company, I just think we should get our priorities straight.

I'm not. I say: your opinion is valid and this needs to be addressed...but there are things we all together should be focusing on first that are way more dangerous than Nathan fillion playing a cop. Otherwise explain how anything I said would cause division in a progressive movement.
The fascists couldn't care less about our morals. They don't have any. What they care about is the size of the enemy line. If they fight a united front or just have to wait until the infighting stops to deal with the rest. We don't win against morally corrupt people by fighting each other.
I get that and I completely understand why people are upset but you can either spend the time responding to every post of dropout, Nathan fillion and the lapd to make your stand heard OR use the same energy supporting those who fight the powers that be. Otherwise it feels like performative activism.
One of the reasons why the fascists win is because the left is too busy fighting itself over who is "left enough" instead of standing together fighting the fascist takeover. Can we focus on fictional TV shows after we stopped the thugs from putting people in death camps?
I'd say that ICE protects Trump's fascism and cops protect the system that ruled the US before it was a fascist Hellhole. Which was still bad but a police force and a Gestapo are still a difference.
