There is a part of me that really wishes her last name is actually "Gender".
Yeah I think people just like complaining, they never want to actually do anything that they personally see as too much work.
they had an entire bunch of episodes that outright were never aired in Japan but produced by the same studio iirc.
I remember being weirdly into how wacky Duel Masters was back in the day, with that one dude who would always go on about how evil he is, and the freakin sunglasses baby. I am not sure how much of the script was spiced up for the English release (I'd imagine quite a bit). Though it was a bit weird
Reminds me of something out of M3.
Either that or you are talking about the lost Swahili dub of SpongeBob SquarePants.
Sometimes I feel like I'm just a glutton for punishment when it comes to those things. Like I waste brain power on something even though I know I should be better than that at this stage in the game.
I feel like the video is going to get fuzzy at some point and then I'll get jumpscared lol.
I had always enjoyed the show since my first watch in 2019 or so, and I posted a bit on my thoughts when I rewatched it in 2022, but my understanding particularly deepened thanks to Joinus' wonderful posts on the series: joinus-fantotomoni.hatenablog.com/archive/cate...
I've discussed many times about how following it week by week changed my life at the time, and rewatching the series last month kind of reaffirmed what I felt. In general there are common patterns you can find in my anime taste, though I am not sure if it's completely clear in this top 5.
I think Glasslip is a work that fits my philosophy quite well on social circles and trying to understand others through the use of art. I was really impressed with how Nishimura-san and the team managed to include so many moving parts to it. With ConRevo, it is a very important series to me, I think
Good morning! I woke up just now myself.
I think your relentlessness is one of your best qualities, and a sign of your strength.
It's a very dense work.
Top 5 anime? I guess:
- Concrete Revolutio
- Wolf's Rain
- Fullmetal Alchemist
- The Melody of Oblivion
- Glasslip
I do like playing indie games on my Switch because I generally am lying in bed, though I do like my computer when I am playing while talking to friends since I don't have to dig out the stand and change the Elgato wiring (I have it set to connect to the Retrotink because I play a lot of PS2).
Yeah I would like to get my hands on more stuff like that from Aikawa's series. I have a fanbook for Un-Go and one for Ghost Slayers Ayashi, but nothing else.
I think it had a settei book of some kind.
I always wondered if the candy was a reference to how Astro Boy got its start in part through tie-ins with Meiji candy.
Yeah Aikawa's works tend to have a lot of these mistranslations. I think they improved the subs from when it was airing, because I remember some clunky lines from the finale being improved. Though I am not sure if that was a discrepancy between the Daisuki and Funimation subs.
Hope you managed to hang in there this Christmas, Yogshi! I'm always grateful for your posts! You've given a lot of wisdom over the years to a youngster like me.
Happy Christmas everyone!! Here's hoping for a good one!
メリクリ~
It give me a bit of a Kaito Kid/Phantom Thief kind of feeling, from what I remember.
Still have to watch the rest of it. It's one of the only Bones shows I haven't fully gotten around to. Seemed cool.
My sister had Mana Khemia for PS2 back in the day, and I remember that one playing a lot like FF10. But I am not too familiar with the Atelier series, I tried Ryza when that came out on Switch and the game felt kind of like an iyashikei RPG.
No worries!
Yeah that is why I prefer the other categories on the site, there tend to be more interesting choices.
I hope nothing bad has been happening lately.
I should read another one, I've only finished SNOW this year.
