I think the biggest damage to the art community was the obsolescence of gallery sites (y!, deviantart, etc) and the rise of scroll-by social media, like twitter and even tumblr. Art is not ''content'', you shouldnt need to post art every day (or every month!) to be relevant. This mindset sucks.

[update] my nana got her biopsy done yesterday morning about the lump found on her lung, so we just need to wait for the results. she is getting discharged today as well, so i will be spending some time to help her settle back home.

fortunately they were able to clear the infection in her blood, and she will have a biopsy on the lump scheduled tomorrow. i will be slow replying to messages (if not at all, apologies) and slowly work on commissions when i have the time.
