And one more wrinkle here that I think challenges this point - Sayed Kashua lives in the US but he still produces Israeli culture. He had a new TV show (a very interesting one!) debut on the Kan kids channel about 2 years ago. As far as I know he still works as a script doctor on other shows as well
I also don’t think this is entirely accurate and there are several examples to the contrary I named above.
And politically, the rise and fall of the Joint List is a case in point.

They have not all emigrated! This population, like all groups, is diverse and complicated. There are many prominent Palestinian citizens of Israel who represent wildly different ways of belonging (and not belonging) to Israeli society.
I find I often have this problem at the beginning of the summer. I usually give myself some space and rest for a few days and my focus returns.
