Scientists analyzed a giant shinbone found in New Mexico and discovered it belonged to a massive tyrannosaur that lived ~74 million years ago. Likely a close ancestor of Tyrannosaurus rex, it may have weighed ~4.7 tons — making it the largest tyrannosaur known from that time
