I don't think I'm going to make my reading goal this year. Started off strong, but hit a slump and haven't been able to catch up. 😕
My high school English teacher was enamored with early American literature, so that was the majority of our assigned reading. They were dry, wordy, and boring. Almost killed my love of reading, so I can understand why some people never pick up another book after high school. 😒
It took me a long time to get comfortable with not finishing a book, but my TBR pile is too large to waste time on bad books!
