Today these systems have become sought-after collector's items along with many other versions of the classic Mega Drive System, (there are a lot of versions, I'll cover some of the others in future posts including a boom box stereo with Mega Drive functionality built in).

This initially released in PAL areas such as Europe (1993), and saw a short-lived success until being discontinued due to its high price (lack of sales) and a seriously outdated CPU at release. It has been compared with the similar but also completely unrelated Sega TeraDrive PC (see last photo).

As a new addition to this page I will be doing retro gaming facts and history.

I will start with this computer manufactured and released by Amstrad back in 1993 under license from the company Sega. Dubbed the Amstrad Mega PC, this hardware came with a fully functioning Sega Mega Drive built inside.
