We are very grateful to the @escmid.bsky.social Study Group for Mycoplasma and Chlamydia Infections (ESGMAC) Mycoplasma pneumoniae Surveillance (MAPS) study group members and collaborators, and to all those who helped with the ESGMAC MAPS study.
We describe the clinical severity and outcome of infections, while providing an explanation for why this pathogen re-emerged much later than other respiratory pathogens.
Here it is – THE largest global dataset for Mycoplasma pneumoniae, describing the global spatiotemporal dynamics of its historical re-emergence after COVID-19 pandemic restrictions.
