How is acknowledging deliberate editing bending over for "fascism"? Someone made a decision for whatever reason that portrayed something that did not represent the truth. It could (and has) easily been done to the left (i.e. Miner's Strike, Corbyn, etc.). It's wrong and should be apologised for.

‘I was forced out of BBC News over gender critical views’ Cath Leng claims younger LGBT reporters acted as ‘gatekeepers’ on trans stories and gender critical coverage was censored

“Leng alleges that a culture of fear developed among BBC staff, who dared not suggest any stories that threw a negative light on trans activism in case they were unofficially blackballed.”

Transwomen and transmen aren't "banned" from accessing sports: they're being asked to participate in the sport category that matches their birth sex. The female category was established because there has always been an imbalance between male and female strength and performance post-puberty.

That's not even vaguely acknowledging the censoring of sex-realist views in the BBC's output, most notably in "Woman's" Hour.

Such delicate and feminine "women", who are obviously "the most marginalised in all the universe", carrying out typical male violence against anyone who supports women having spaces free from them.

Good article. Thanks for writing it.

That's a really convincing argument you put forward there.

Ministers confirm plans to reduce London’s affordable housing quotas Developers will qualify for fast-track planning status if they include 20% affordable housing instead of current 35% target

Govt reduces London’s affordable housing quotas.

Developers to get subsidies if they include 20% affordable housing instead of current 35% target.

Bigger profits for developers.
Yielding to developers won't solve homelessness and poverty crisis.

Let councils build affordable homes.

No one has replied to explain, but using Google search I've deducted that it means uncritically and unconditionally accepting someone or something. Give up all your concerns that this situation/person might be dangerous and implicitly trust them. What could possibly go wrong with that?

I've been seeing "radical" used as an adjective in collocations I've not seen before. Can anyone explain to me what it means when paired with: radical solidarity; radical empathy; radical trust?

I'm not sure about that or whether that applies to every bean that can be sprouted, but I haven't done a comprehensive study of it.

Disabled Post Office Horizon victim offered 15% of compensation claim Janet Skinner had a neurological collapse and was temporarily paralysed after her final court hearing.

Disabled Post Office Horizon scandal victim offered 15% of compensation claim

Due to the illegal conviction for fraud she lost her home, served time in prison.

No end to the misery. Why penny pinching?

No culprit charged, forced to pay any compensation to victims.

The husks quite possibly have some nutritional value. We ate them this evening with the husks in a salad and they were fine. It's just aesthetically more pleasing if they were all just sprouts.

Does anyone know how to separate the husks from the sprouted urid dhal (or any sprouted beans)?

I can feel the pain and would do anything to avoid having to take the train replacement service. Where are you going to and did you have to start from Huddersfield or is every Colne Valley station now a bus stop?

What's not true? Are you claiming that Khelif is trans???!?

This thread happens to be about a male boxer with a DSD (which means he's not even "trans") not being able to box against women anymore. That's pretty far from segregating people because they're perceived as "different and evil" as you can get.

And you come from a country where several trans people killed school children in mass shootings!

What does that have to do with trans athletes competing in the women's sports category?

02.09.2025 07:08 — 👍 1    🔁 0    💬 0    📌 0

Where and when have women done that to trans people trying to organise their own sports category? If you're just saying that you "know" it would happen, that's a big stretch from it actually ever happening, isn't it?

I'm struggling to understand your example here. Are you saying that evangelical Christians are stopping trans people from organising their own sporting categories? If so, is that who you think we are who are here arguing for sex to be considered a relevant factor in sports?

02.09.2025 07:04 — 👍 3    🔁 0    💬 1    📌 0

Where have "people like you" ever tried to stop transgender people self-organising a sporting event? I must have missed that news. Please point me to when and where it's happened.

It isn't safe to preserve raw garlic in oil like this. Because garlic is low-acid, when it's in oil it creates an anaerobic environment which can culture Clostridium botulinum, the bacteria that causes botulism.
