A single mother with three kids, displaced for more than 1.5 years. No trace of her house after occupation's bombardements. Keeping the family sheltered means surviving and dignity.
The rent deadline is January 29th. We can make sure that they have a shelter.

I'm sorry. As a technology writer, I'm supposed to be telling you that this bet will some day pay off, because one day we will have shoveled so many words into the word-guessing program that it wakes up and learns how to actually do the jobs it is failing spectacularly at today. This is a proposition akin to the idea that if we keep breeding horses to run faster and faster, one of them will give birth to a locomotive. Humans possess intelligence, and machines do not. The difference between a human and a word-guessing program isn't how many words the human knows. I'm sorry. I know that when we talk about "digital sovereignty," we're obliged to talk about how we can build more data-centres that we can fill up with money-losing chips from American silicon monopolists in the hopes of destroying as many jobs as possible while blowing through our clean energy goals and enshittifying as much of our potable water as possible.

Please keep it going:
LAST NIGHT: Israeli settlers set fire to homes and vehicles and injured Palestinian residents in a Bedouin community near Mukhmas, northeast of Jerusalem, in yet another escalation aimed at ethnically cleansing Palestinians from their land.

-Detection of microplastics via analytical techniques can be really challenging due to detection limits
-Some scientific papers out there are poor and lack rigour
-Microplastics are bad for human health
Our continued attention matters. Don't surrender your focus away from Gaza.

It's morally vacuous to demand people "say her name" when they are, in fact, saying her name. How quickly did we learn her name? How long will we remember it? I need y’all to realize this. Black people experience this lack of visibility all the time when it comes to being victims.

As many Black people have pointed out across social media time and time again, this violence is not a bug but a feature of the system. It's always been there, used against Black, brown and Indigenous folk. And let's not pretend it's just in the US (even if the violence is less lethal elsewhere).
