Securing a regime change would have required significant numbers of American boots on the ground in Iran. There clearly has never been a plan to do that, thus there has never been a plan to help ordinary Iranians take back control of their country.

It's been a long time since the last Crusade.

Queen Victoria bought Sandringham in 1862, to keep her somewhat morally degenerate son, Edward, out of sight of the public gaze. That Andrew has ended up being sent to Sandringham for similar reasons suggests things haven't changed very much. "Sent to Sandringham" a version of "Sent to Coventry"

Don't worry! The asswipe will be speaking messages of peace now that Trump has changed his mind for him again.

Not a chance in hell that he will achieve regime change. That would have required thousands of troops on the ground. Advisors in the WH have clearly warned him that his absurd war was heading for disaster at home.

How do you determine that you have already won, but still not won enough, when you have failed to specify any kind of consistent or clear objective? The very idea is absurd, but then so is Trump.

I'm just grateful that he is not a part of the privileged elite that Reform is so committed to destroying

In the future there will be decades of analysis probing the degenerate presidencies of this monster. Perhaps the biggest question of all will be why Congress and the GOP remained in the thrall of an immoral buffoon while he systematically attacked US democracy and wrecked the Republican Party.

It's truly astonishing that Badenoch and Farage would send UK military personnel into conflict without any knowledge of the rationale, justification, or objectives being pursued by the USA in this war. This would be to cede UK sovereignty completely to a lunatic president, who despises the UK.

So Tice wants us to engage in a war at a massive cost to the taxpayer. Perhaps someone should ask him whether his partner Issy will be paying her share to the tax revenue required, or will she continue to remain a tax exile in Dubai.

Reform's current policy is to send them back from whence they came. In Iran's case, to certain execution.

If you don't understand that the scare quotes around the word "serious" means that he is not to be regarded as a serious politician, that is your problem. Don't waste my time by failing to understand a very simple convention that anyone with average intelligence understands. Idiot!

Then stop being a fuckwit and learn what scare quotes indicate.

When Trump's gone, & Rubio gets to reflect upon the descent of his career from "serious" politician into a pusillanimous pipsqueak slave to Trump's depravity, I wonder if he will still possess the scintilla of self-respect needed to feel the crushing shame that deserves to plague him until his death

It was no mistake. They played the exact clip they wanted to play. The mistake was getting caught out.

So, very old footage of Trump at a similar event when he wasn't desecrating the memory of dead soldiers just happened to be slap bang next to the footage newly in and they clicked on the wrong clip. They didn't consciously search for it at all. Just bad luck I suppose.

As Farage conspires with Trump to undermine the UK government, those who think he is some kind of political genius might want to contemplate the following:
1. Trump is massively unpopular in the UK.
2. By the time of the next UK election, Trump will be out of power, inevitably replaced by a Democrat
