come 2 dsa long beach's communications meeting every other tuesday 6:30 to 8pm. It is styled pretty sillily, making fun of design is your passion memes. Little slogans like "gotta post fast" "Design is our passion" "make us sound even cooler!!!" float around with bad drawings.

We're also going to be confirming some information about the International Solidarity Committee, and a bylaws-amendment so we can reduce how often we're voting on Chapter Leadership as a Chapter!

Have you heard? Next Saturday we're voting on a new Steering Co-Chair, Membership Coordinator, and our first At-Large Steering member.

Zohran Mamdani received more first-round votes (432,305) than Andrew Cuomo received total votes after ranked choice voting (428,530).

That means more people ranked Zohran first than ranked Cuomo anywhere on their ballot (without ranking Zohran above him).

Stone wall was a riot. The concept of Pride Month began with the Stonewall riots, a series of riots for gay liberation that took place over several days beginning on June 28, 1969. The riots began after a police raid at the Stonewall Inn, a gay bar located within Lower Manhattan in New York City. On June 28,1970, on the one year anniversary of the Stonewall Uprising, the first pride marches were held in New York, LA, and Chicago. Happy Pride Month!

Every year, DSA-LB continues in the tradition of Stonewall: Freedom from repression. Self-determination for all people. And an end to capitalists trying to control every detail of our lives and sense of identity.

We will also be discussing the local implications of Zohran’s victory in New York, our Ranked Choice Voting campaign, our other ongoing campaigns, and Resolutions for the DSA National Convention in August.
