I'd also recommend the Splatoon Peer Review server, where you can show up with your own replay codes or codes from other players/tournaments you'd want to learn from!

It can be a great way to get some analyst perspectives on games that haven't had content made for them already

I feel like our top level and maybe scene as a whole is bad at learning from 1 sided games and tries to avoid them. Unless you are literally 100-0 KOing every single match there is stuff to learn from. The inability to do so speaks to an inability to properly review matches more then anything else.

I guess the main question is — what types of players do you want to attend your tourney? I remember @entomolojest.bsky.social quite literally just DMing a bunch of friends and scrim partners to get a random tourney’s signups from 5 teams to like 17.
Maybe even consider adding outreach staff tbh

If you’re looking for increased tourney visibility, as an analyst and viewer of content even just sharing replay codes of tourneys can help so much. The peer review server could go for some more grand finals replay codes, so if you’d want to collab a bit lmk :3

A tourney can be great even if it’s the same 8 teams that play each time. I’d recommend making a google form or just directly DMing your players to see what your current players want+like out of a tourney.

I disagree with the concept of “right” plays tbh. For any play there’s a situation which would make it valuable, and so it often comes down to pattern recognition

Further, vod reviewing can take less time than playing, if you don’t pause the replay. 5min reviews have been helpful in my X practice
