I think fundamentally the "women's safety" aspect has been superseded by "they're not women" absolutism, such that anything that treats trans women as women - or indeed as anything other than men - is regarded as surrender to lies. So this is where it is now - scorched earth.

Posted this seven months ago. Now that trans women are being excluded from girl guides, WI, labour party women's meetings: I'd be interested in what people (with different views) were posting / expecting / wanting before EHRC and before SC ruling. My feeling is that this is quite far beyond that.

It's a difference in usage between US and UK. In UK typically use "highest" grade which is prof but in the US more common to use Dr for all academics.
