This was an invented moral panic. The NYT and Fox News ran more stories about trans people than the Advocate, an explicitly LGBTQ publication. It was the exact same story in the UK. The media fanned the flames of a moral panic.

The second talks about community and how we can sustain languages within our spaces and lives. Additionally, I think Dialect introduces a way to talk about how the words we use can and should change based on audience. Having been a college English 101 instructor, these all are great fundamentals.

If I were to give Dialect an award, it would be "Best Game to Teach in an English Class". Dialect features two contributed chapters from specialists linking the game to the real world. The first talks about word building and how words themselves are crafted.
