She's so great, and obviously a very talented journalist, which is hilariously perfect.

Dark money group offers influencers $1,500 for posts attacking Chicago Democratic primary candidate Progressive House candidate Kat Abughazaleh told MS NOW the secretive campaign is “filled with false and defamatory claims.”

HOLY SHIT.

A dark money group, hidden behind a bunch of shell companies, is paying influencers thousands of dollars PER POST to attack @katmabu.bsky.social on social media a month before her election.

Thank you to the people who declined the money and went forward with this. So who's behind this?

The 10 Best Short Story Collections of the Decade Friends, it’s true: the end of the decade approaches. It’s been a difficult, anxiety-provoking, morally compromised decade, but at least it’s been populated by some damn fine lite…

Reading a pile of "best of" short story collection lists. Starting with this one lithub.com/the-10-best-...

Every once in a while I have to shake my mouse around a bunch to figure out where it ended up. Getting old is utter nonsense.

Those are all really nice bowls. I am similar -- weighed out 12 1 pound lumps and threw 12 completely different cups. I've decided not to worry about it yet 😆

Have you heard of PubG? Anyhoo, an extraction shooter is a tactical shooter variant -- super shooty, often/usually PvP plus PvE, lotsa looting/upgrading/leveling, and you usually have to escape (the extraction part) at a certain place within a time limit. I don't play but they're fun to watch.

"Human writing often includes some clunky phrases, like this passage from Cormac McCarthy's Blood Meridian, caused by the author's aversion to punctuation: 'As well ask men what they think of stone.'"

This is the stupidest g.d. thing I have read all day.

a picture of 12 freshly-thrown mug forms (basically cups without handles), still on the bats a picture of 12 freshly-thrown mug forms (basically cups without handles), still on the bats - a slightly different angle

I really really need to practice making handles, so threw a dozen mugs today. Consistency is still not there, but different shapes will want different handles, so that's a fun added challenge. These were all 1 lb balls of clay, and I've made some progress with my throwing larger forms. Yay!

It is literally insane. I am good with computer. I have tried every possible combination of possible ways to reset or recover my password. Nothin. My email is correct, my phone number (reluctantly added) is correct. NOTHING WORKS. Jfc FB, you are making it hard to not just rage quit.

I know I should just quit FB, but I still have friends in there I am not in contact with any other way. The problem is that I have the FB app on my phone where I'm logged in, but I cannot log in on my new laptop. Saved passwords don't work, password reset doesn't work, password recovery doesn't work

There are two weeks until my election, and AIPAC has spent $150,000 to create the worst attack out against me I have ever seen.

Let’s watch it:

Love the monochrome -- really centres the squirrel as the focal point and feels more intentional.

I changed up how i wedge a little bit, which helped a lot, and I raised my wheel up by like 6" which helped *so much*. Zero back pain! (My triceps are a bit achey tho, lol.)

Since I've been doing glaze chemistry courses since October, I haven't had a lot of time to actually throw clay. Decided to fix that today. Threw a whole bag (22lbs) in 2lb chunks, practicing throwing taller / bigger. Pretty happy with the results (some are better than others). Learned a lot.

I'm similarly burnt out on glaze testing. I haven't thrown clay in months. Might take a break and get muddy this weekend. I hope you find something new and fun to work on.
