I mixed up books four and five. (It seems I have not yet read book five.) Book four is that cracker series entry that left me “stunned and without words.” The action of book four was some of the best yet. Bonus: brutalist architecture.

Book five-point-three, What Abigail Did Last Summer, the foxes and odd house story. Imaginative and clever, initially I resisted but now I’ve listened to twice for the fun. A quality contribution to the Rivers of London canon.

Book five was an absolute cracker. The pacing and lead-up was tight and tense, and the pay-off left me stunned and without words. Highest praise. Damn. Damn damn.

Book four was thrilling, weird fun. Great narration as usual and top-tier world-building.

A lot of people are learning that cowardice won’t save them in real time. Might as well be brave.
