As we remember those we lost in the El Paso mass shooting, we must condemn racist rhetoric that tears apart our communities and makes us less safe, and stop dangerous people from getting dangerous weapons so easily.

Six years ago, a gunman in El Paso murdered 23 innocent people and wounded 22 others in the worst targeted attack against Latinos in U.S. history.

This illegal map is a direct attack on the Voting Rights Act, suppresses the voice of thousands of Texans, and hurts black and brown communities the most.

We need to keep speaking out and letting Republicans know this map cannot stand. I’ll keep fighting. This is not over.

I am saddened by the passing of San Antonio music legend Leonardo "Flaco" Jiménez. He was a pioneer in conjunto music—receiving a Lifetime Achievement Grammy, National Medal of Arts, and a place in the National Recording Registry for his work. Texas is proud of his legacy. May he rest in peace.

I testified on redistricting before the Texas legislature today and asked that they serve Texans, not Trump.

The Texas legislature is being used by Trump.

He needs to rig the maps to stay in power and avoid investigations into deadly flooding in Central Texas, the Epstein files, the Iran leaks, and more. Communities of color will be hit the hardest.

The Trump Admin is failing its international role in stopping this humanitarian crisis. It is also failing its own citizens by refusing to commit to conduct an independent investigation into the terrorist attack against an American citizen by Israeli settlers.

I have repeatedly joined my colleagues on @houseforeign.bsky.social condemning the brutal attack on October 7 committed by Hamas.

Our government must now condemn Netanyahu’s government and hold them accountable for the horrors they are committing to the Palestinian people in Gaza and the West Bank.

I reminded the Trump Admin that there is NO justification to turn a blind eye to five- and six-year-old children who are starving to the bone.

Every day in Gaza and the West Bank brings us fresh horrors of starving children, civilians killed by snipers as they seek out food, and entire families wiped out by the IDF.
