I have the the Ford book too, it's so smart and breathtaking, especially considering most of the works are huge watercolors!

Based on one of the warmup sketches I (try to) do regularly from various references. Many are studies of poses which aren't very interesting and are only worth doing for technical practice, but occasionally I stumble upon a pose that jolts my imagination and deserves a more complete drawing.

I loved the movie so much as a kid, an early sign of furryness I guess!

I used to write Benji the Hunted fan fiction on my mom's old typewriter as a kid, as well as invented furry stories and probably some early d&d stuff too. Back when even the letters or ink stripe getting stuck was fun rather than rage-inducing XD

"Morning vision"

From the last sketch I did during my wife's pregnancy, a few days before delivery. A vision that's not easily forgotten.

There’s a few in her home city of Bordeaux including some awesome sculptures. I hope to be able to see the horse fair in RL some day, it has to be truly breath talking!

GenAI has polluted image search results, especially for animal pics. It’s now basically impossible to find accurate art references.

Rosa Bonheur is my favourite animal painter of all times! I had a chance of seeing many of her originals in France and they do stand out compared to the other XIX century animal paintings. Others were good, but only her managed to capture the animal character so deeply.

I still hadn't posted the last couple drawings I did based on live sketches of my wife during pregnancy, even thought our second baby was born in June - healthy and with a super fast delivery too! This drawing also starring our cat Yuri.

Inspired by Sandro Botticelli's "Man of Sorrows" and by the fact my wrists and forearms have been in faint but almost constant pain for about ten years now. It's manageable with physical therapy and 1/3

Back in the day, London had tens of thousands of "cat meats men" - vendors of horse meat and offal sold to the city's multitude of cat owners for their cats. They were quite an institution, these men, it seems. publicdomainreview.org/essay/the-ca... #caturday

Will be looking further into it after summer, although I have never had any swelling, which would be quite atypical for that.

(I've had carpal tunnel surgery on both hands in 2022, and lately I'm dealing with a mild form of trigger finger.) There seem to be no neurological issues either, it really is a puzzle. I just hope it never gets to the point it prevents me from drawing or painting.

occasional anti-inflammatory cycles, but there seems to be no clear explanation for it, save that my ulnar bones are slightly shorter than they should be and I'm susceptible to various forms of tendonitis. 2/3
