Watercolor, an orange fox in the foreground, drinking from a bowl, in the bg several trees with eyes, like aspen eyes, one is crying and the tears are gathered in bowls at the feet of the trunk

"A cruel golden vixen drank from the Tree of Tears, she then cried so much her heart became light as a feather."
Oro doing things she should not, as ever.

A royal portrait of Princess Celestia from My Little Pony: Friendship is magic. She is painted in a realistic style, standing in front of a stone wall with a sun etching on it. She has a raised hoof and large flowing mane and tail that look like they are made of plasma. Post image

A few years ago I was compelled to paint two portraits of Princess Celestia and Princess Luna from MLP:FIM. I left them out of my art book due to trademark concerns, but I can share here the two pages I would have put in the book, complete with my notes to the pictures. 1/4

My photo shows part of a limestone wall panel carved in bas relief from the Fifth Dynasty mortuary temple of king Userkaf at Saqqara, Old Kingdom, 2465-2458 BC. It shows a Hoopoe, a crested bird with black and white wing pattern, and an ibis, with long curved beak, amongst papyrus plants in the marshes of the river Nile. My photo was taken in 2022 at the Egyptian Museum in Cairo.

Lovely naturalistic relief of a Hoopoe and Ibis, carved by an Egyptian artisan some 4,500 years ago!

A framed watercolor painting of a female anthropomorphic gazelle standing in profile against a cool blue-grey abstract background. She leans lightly to one side, her warm golden-brown body softly modeled with subtle shadows. Curved horns rise above her head, and her expression is calm and self-aware. The left side of the composition remains mostly white, creating a strong sense of quiet space.

Unhunted

Stillness is not surrender.
It is a choice.

I got a copy last year and it is really really great!

Beyond the art itself, it's as good an expression of what furry is about that I have seen.

I do wholeheartedly recommend this book. I got it last year and it's a very good and interesting read paired with gorgeous artwork. It sparked my interest in trying my paws on oil painting. So go get it and read it!

The art book is available as always from @fenrispublishing.bsky.social / @bewerebooks.bsky.social and from @fusselschwarm.bsky.social for cheaper EU shipping. I wish to thank dearly all the fans who have bought it, that has been a huge help for me during 2025!

A winged female anthropomorphic fox with the color pattern of a blue-and-yellow macaw lays down on a forest floor, with feathers scattered around here, in an artful pose that reminds that of a crashed bird.

Special thanks to the model for kindly collecting her feathers for months to prepare for this portrait, even though keeping your own shedded feathers is considered a bit creepy among avians.

I was reading about the hygienic habits of medieval animal people and I found this. It seems they took baths more often than we think and usually in groups. It was a social moment. And look, they seemed to care about their fur and wanted it free of parasites πŸͺ²πŸš«

Portrait of a female rabbit with white fur, long curly red hair, and red eyes and claws. She's nude and seated modestly on a chair, wearing only a vintage clock as a pendant and a bracelet with a golden key attached. She has the four classic card suits tattooed on her right shoulder.

"Red eyes white rabbit", oil on canvas, 25x50 cm

First painting of 2026, based on a live sketch on my wife, and with a fairly obvious inspiration.

Two nude anthropomorphic rabbits, male and female, on a sofa in front of a window in a small busy home. The female is pregnant and sleeping a troubled sleep. The male is looking outside at a sprawling futuristic city. Some domestic chickens are roaming freely in the room.

Since I became a father in 2021 I find myself worrying a lot more about the future, but also having a keener sense of reality and how messy and complicated it is. I’ve been fantasizing a lot about anthros living in solarpunk-ish near future settings as a way to process those feelings.

Only huge artists are able to get some kind of revenue from spotify, there are some wonderful (and cheaper) alternatives out there who actually give something to the creatives that keeps them afloat.
This is just like X, everyone, these a-holes do not deserve your money and your creativity.
