While in the LOTR movies Denethor just randomly went crazy, that's not the whole story.

Denethor became a doomer. He spent all night scrolling through bad news on his magic device, because the Dark Lord only let him see bad news and not good, until he lost all hope and it broke him.

i love the way 911 establishes henren and madney as a family, acting as aunts and uncle to each other's kids, doing whatever they can to support each other.

s7 ends with bobby dragging a man through a desert to save him, not bc he sees himself as a hero but bc he believes that's the least of what he owes him then having a baptism through fire that resets his life, free from the weight of his past. s8 starts with him and athena building a new life.

s7 ends with athena bonding with a man who's partner had been killed and seeing the way he was able to forgive the man responsible. s8 starts with athena confronting the man who killed her fiance and finding the strength to forgive him.

the reason i don't really love the headcanon of eddie being a trans girl is bc i identify so much with the character and having characters i identify with be feminized feels a bit like I'M being feminized. it's me projecting my own gender disphoria around femininity. which is valid as fuck actually.
