It took a couple of years after the A1000 in 1985 for the more affordable A500 to be realised in 1987, and the West Europe wave lagged behind the USA by a year or two. So it peaked here in the early 90s. I first saw an A500 in 1987 at school computer club but was happy learning Basic on the Beeb 😎🤓.

I think you’ve created a super game there. Looks beautiful and hits the right balance between fun and difficulty for a mostly casual gamer like me.

After smelling a particularly rancid one at Gordano Services near Bristol I immediately phoned my dad to tell him I suspected my grandad had come back to life. Made dad’s day and brought back “fond” memories of grandad.

I usually say “oh my god” or similar before realising the person making the smell is still there and feel just a bit guilty. Then I might partially stifle a gag 🤢 and resist calling out that they need to call a doctor 🤐. If anyone is waiting I will definitely make sure sure they know it wasn’t me.
