I see! Ok! phew :\ sort of, anyway. I'm happy to help however I can! All the data is stored in localStorage as somewhat straightforward JSON. We probably need a better story for folks that do this - I'll be honest I tend to use saved short links myself

Hulloooo! Oh no! That sounds awful :( When you say you have a recent copy from backups, I'm not sure what you mean? A copy of what? The snippets (as like a text file?) And then you want to put them back in the "load/save" snippet store thingy? Just trying to understand :)

Is this WSL? I have that but it's not at all what I want :). I just want Linus and the gdm and all that stuff, not Windows with Linux support

I have Linux on literally every other device I own and use. This Windows is to play video games that have no Linux equivalent with my kids

Gonna try and resurrect a GPU with heat issues next. My Windows boot experience is not boring well :) we will see!

Booted ok if I picked the "wrong" disk! Yay!

I already have grub. And I can boot into Ubuntu. But if I attempt to boot into windows it tells me this

Dos box showing data is there but H:\ has no useful recovery logs unlike the messages suggestion

Maybe Ubuntu toasted it, honestly

Installed Ubuntu as a dual boot with windows. Rebooted into windows and it "automatically repaired" and replaced the Ubuntu bootloader :/ srsly please don't
