Continuing my pebble appreciation. 10 years later and it still has all the features I need. Time, notifications, health, and calendar, all out of the box.

I’m unironically for California secession at this point. We pay for everything yet our votes are worth less than someone in a less populated state.

It’s like someone spat in our food and still expects us to pay for theirs. But every meal.

What’s your over and under on outages brought on by vibed code? I’m thinking we have 3-6 months before prod starts going down for a bunch of small to midsized companies.

There’s truth to that. I’m actively looking for ways to turn back the clock to the 2014 tech era when things were more fun and charming, and less harmful to society.

Toss out algorithms, bring back pebble, last.fm, old IG/Twitter, and bad mirror selfies.

The death of Twitter and the fragmentation of social has left a lot of niche communities with no place to go. Threads is awful, Mastodon is for your socialist sysadmin, and Bluesky is the boring progressive response to X.

Reddit & mastodon fill the void a bit, but they’re not quite the same.

It’s so true tho! Everyone else is just competing for second.
