Currently a little quiet here on Bluesky, trying to create a working framework for hauntology in photography, through an ongoing research project at Central Saint Martins. But expect updates as time passes.
Where goes Hookland, there go I. Cautiously. Particularly in marshy areas. At night.
Power supply capacitors are like the red wheelbarrow, basically.
Oh, I know.
I don't suppose any of my extended hauntology family have a spare copy of "Horrifying Children: Hauntology and the Legacy of Children’s Television" knocking around?
Just in case anyone searches for Sarah K Marr, or Sarah Marr, or "oh, you know, that one who posted the thing about the Owl Service, yes, that one, and the Parker 25 pen thing, that's right, and the nuclear war game at school, uh-huh, no I don't know why either", I'm leaving this here.
Shout out!
If anyone's looking for a new mechanical keyboard I can recommend 'The Keyboard Company'. They were really helpful before I bought my Keychron K2 Pro: verified the key and backlight colours, double-checked I wanted a US layout, etc. Delivery was quick, too. https://www.keyboardco.com/
Your occasional reminder that there's an awful lot of information hiding away in those RAW files you're shooting. (Because you're shooting RAW, right? Right?)

Have to hand it to Adobe, the new 'Denoise' feature in Lightroom is a gamechanger for Fujifilm RAF files. Right is my original shot with post-processing. Left is the denoised version (denoise at 30% – the default 50% seems too high to me – and I added touch more clarity and sharpening, too).
Looking good on the wall, I think. #photography
Tuesday morning charity shop find. Repro on canvas, bit beaten up, but affordable. #photography
By way of a 'hello' to Bluesky here's a moody photograph of Versailles. (Apologies for the copious metadata information: I'm just learning to use darktable and haven't set up any proper watermarking yet.)
