There’s 3 years left of the term but I think this is the moment that they lost.

They murdered two citizens in broad daylight and the population didn’t riot and isn’t scared of them.

This is what always gets me about these "WASPI" campaigners. *I* remember reading about the pension age changes when I was a teenager, thirty years ago. And I am in multiple ways not in the affected demographic.

There are few things more disturbing than witnessing the government gun down your fellow citizen on a city street. The more Democrats share video of this, the more they alienate reasonable centrists.

"What?"

What I love about Kemi, is that she never handles something badly in the way you'd expect them to handle it badly.

I think this point has been underplayed. Someone who chooses not to stand as an MP in 2024 because they think another mayoral term better serves their ambitions then changes their mind 18 months in isn't necessarily the person to bring the party together and show the country Labour are serious

As the Burnham fall-out continues, I find it amazing how many politicos seems to have real difficulty separating β€œthis is a terrible strategic decision” and β€œthis is not the outcome I personally wanted”.

Both options spelled trouble for Starmer. You don’t have to like the decision to see the logic

The president should be impeached and convicted, as should everyone responsible for these outrages. ICE should be disbanded. So should the Department of Homeland Security. And the people who have killed should be investigated and brought before judges and juries.

The winning Labour coalition of the 21st century is diverse urban areas + liberal suburbs and market towns. This should be obvious by now but to many in the party it isn't.

So so glad I don’t have to do that anymore. I think I’d flat out refuse to go tbh.

Given Starmer’s record breaking levels of unpopularity you can make a strong case for pretty much anyone in the cabinet plus Rayner.

I personally quite like Starmer but he isn’t a good PM and I can’t see him turning it round.

The lesson being don’t take your left flank for granted.
