Systemic problems are hard to address and take introspection to ID weaknesses in a current system and make changes: egos are very likely to get bruised. When set against people losing their lives, denial and deflection to avoid accountability are unconscionable

Looks like it already got painted over but 311 did close my case in 24 hours. Offensive graffiti seems to get quick attention

This seems like an obvious positive angle to say 'we have to move this due to popular demand!' and more people would hear about it and attend. That's how you get people interested and activated in the party

Incredible work by Councilmember Cashman to get new equipment here (in under a year!) after the old playground was removed unexpectedly.

e-edition has the Fateh article on the front page at the bottom for Friday's paper. So the Frey article may come out tomorrow, likely on the front page. I defer to anyone who sees a physical copy today though

Shoutout to my friend doing the work on this! Very much agreed on the importance of not agonizing over your mayoral pick and just ranking Fateh, Davis, Hampton in the order that feels right for you. All would bring great things to city hall! (And don’t forget about city council and parks votes!)

Whatever PAC is funding this operation doesn't seem at all concerned on how much is spent to get 1 vote

This gives a lot of perspective for the line items relating to canvassing expenses. If I saw thousands of dollars listed, I'd assume it was a high number of hours, but at $350 for 3 hours (plus bonuses? I dunno how that even works) that doesn't go very far

I had a similar thought to vote early at Govt Center, but then discovered the city is continuing its pop-up voting locations 10/21-10/27, so Wednesday at the Public Services Center is my day. Glad they piloted these and are continuing to use them! vote.minneapolismn.gov/voters/vote-...

I've only had no response to 311's email but those were all just flagging issues that didn't fit into app categories (which didn't *need* a response, but would have been nice to hear), so I didn't think of that for escalation.

The 94 having weekend service, and more frequent/later service overall, to tee up the future Gold Line has been such a change to get to downtown or near Snelling. It really shows how having different service types makes a huge difference: Green line goes the same places but takes way longer

I was at that meeting and we likely should have included the... wide variety of people one will encounter on caucus night. But the focus was on how to talk to neighbors about transit (no promises made on the response)

Today I witnessed an elected official tell a staffperson their important statistic pulled from the agency report itself was wrong. Eventually the elected admitted ‘maybe AI was wrong.’

I was trying to name why this section felt off to me. I'm not sure we have a neutral term for these houses. I live in a 1914 4-plex and calling it 'historic' seems very strange given it's not special at all (but I love my hardwood floors I guess). Maybe it's just 'old homes' as they differ so much
