Let's be clear about what happened today.

Premier Smith introduced a bill to strip Albertans of Charter rights,

denied MLAs the opportunity to debate it and the courts the ability to scrutinize it,

and did all of this from her seat on a jet to Saudi Arabia.

The Undemocratic Voter ID Law Coming to an Election Near You | The Tyee Alberta’s Bill 20 could block 50,000 people from voting in the province’s next municipal elections.

Wondering why voter turnout is so low in this year's Alberta municipal elections?

It's by design: the UCP wanted to pick its voters. πŸ‘‡

Will the voter suppression work electorally in their favour?

The UCP wants to replace "Wild Rose Country" with "Strong and Free" on provincial license plates.

The minister responsible said caucus, alone, decided on the change. And that the move was "clearly non-partisan".

Here's the official party logo.

You be the judge.

We are told that Charlie Kirk was "doing politics the right way" by going to universities to speak his mind.

We are told that universities do not allow people with Charlie Kirk's views to speak their minds.

It is odd to be told both those things.

Thousands of protesters marched in Washington DC and Chicago in the US, to denounce President Trump’s deployment of National Guard troops and arrest campaigns by immigration agents in those cities.

But employers are stealing $50 billion in wages from workers each year.

It’s pretty simple:

- AI is driving electricity demand up

- The Trump Administration is restricting new electricity supply from being built

- When demand goes up and supply goes down, you pay more for electricity.

That’s what we have to remind our friends and neighbours.

We can do better.
We can be better.
Better is possible.

Lallemand said he borrowed his friend’s boat and was fishing near Venise-en-QuΓ©bec, which is roughly 15 kilometres north of the U.S. border at the northern tip of Lake Champlain. He says he has been fishing for decades and is adamant that he was in Canadian waters when the Coast Guard showed up and told him to turn off his engine, to which he complied.

The three officers told him he was in U.S. territory.

β€œI said, β€˜No, I’m very sorry, I’m in Canada.’ And I said I’m polite enough to talk to you guys but you cannot arrest me. β€˜You can’t come across the border and pick me up’ but they did,” he recalled.

Lallemand started his engine and said he wanted to talk with the officers by the shore, but the Coast Guard followed and tried to push him into the U.S., which is what caused him to go overboard.

β€œThey’re tying my boat to their boat. They’re not even taking care of me. The third time I went down, coming out with water in my mouth, spitting it out, I said throw me a buoy,” he said.

Once on their vessel, he said he was aggressively put in handcuffs. β€œI never saw somebody so angry,” he said.

He was then handed over to U.S. Customs and Border Protection officers, who fingerprinted him, put him in a jail cell with his clothes soaking wet, and gave him a β€œdirty” blanket.

A Quebec fisherman who was fishing 15 kilometers north of the US border was essentially kidnapped by US Border Patrol, who capsized his boat and dragged him to an American prison cell.

In any normal time this'd be quite the international incident, y'know?

This is not about the merits of Iran’s nuclear program. No president has the authority to bomb another country that does not pose an imminent threat to the US without the approval of Congress. This is an unambiguous impeachable offense.

Trump's bombing of Iran serves no larger political or security purpose.
He just didn't want to look like a loser as he was goaded by the war criminal Netanyahu.
Canada must separate ourselves from the reckless violence of the gangster regime in Washington.

We have completed our very successful attack on the three Nuclear sites in Iran, including Fordow, Natanz, and Esfahan. All planes are now outside of Iran air space. A full payload of BOMBS was dropped on the primary site, Fordow. All planes are safely on their way home. Congratulations to our great American Warriors.
There is not another military in the World that could have done this.
NOW IS THE TIME FOR PEACE! Thank you for your attention to this matter.
