The Asian American and Pacific Islander (AAPI) community encompasses diverse cultures and languages. They face a disproportionate burden with #lupus. Lupus-related death rates among Hispanic and Asian women are 4–6 times higher than the general population.

Brown University Surgeon and Professor Are Deported to Lebanon Despite a Judge’s Order (Gift Article) Dr. Rasha Alawieh, a kidney transplant specialist and Brown University professor who had a valid visa, was expelled in apparent defiance of a court order.

The @nytimes.com with @danagoldstein.bsky.social cover the story of Dr Rasha Alawieh being deported despite the Judge’s order (gift link)

(She’s a nephrologist, not a surgeon, but that doesn’t matter here)

It is a full fledge assault on medical research. Turning off funding, canceling grants, and disabling the tools we use. It is a complete dismantling of the infrastructure.

This is the front page of a fraudulent research article that purported to show a link between vaccines and autism. The word "RETRACTED" is written across it in large red letters.

Wikipedia: On 28th February 1998, a fraudulent research paper by physician Andrew Wakefield and twelve coauthors, titled "Ileal-Lymphoid-Nodular Hyperplasia, Non-Specific Colitis, and Pervasive Developmental Disorder in Children", was published in the British medical journal The Lancet.[1] The paper falsely claimed causative links between the measles, mumps, and rubella (MMR) vaccine and colitis and between colitis and autism. The fraud involved data selection, data manipulation, and two undisclosed conflicts of interest.

FDA approves Novo Nordisk's Ozempic to treat chronic kidney disease in those with diabetes, expanding its use Expanded Ozempic approval in the U.S. could transform how doctors treat patients with chronic kidney disease, which involves a gradual loss of kidney function.

BREAKING NEWS: The FDA has approved Ozempic for patients with chronic kidney disease. This means the popular injection can be used to reduce the risk of kidney disease worsening, kidney failure and death from cardiovascular disease in patients with chronic kidney disease and diabetes.

Now, the contemporary true incidence of contrast AKI is likely very low owing to less nephrotoxic contrast(lower osmolality), lower volumes used, attention to care on whom to avoid if not necessary, more pervasive preventive protocols (IVF), etc etc.

Contrast-induced or associated AKI is absolutely real. Saying that it doesn’t exist means ur insulting generations of colleagues who came b4 us who observed/studied this phenomenon b4 our time and saying that it’s always been a fictitious entity in their minds.

It has taken more than 4 years but the methodologically poor (doi.org/10.1016/j.th...) and questionable paper (1-day peer review bmcmedresmethodol.bi...) that promoted HCQ for COVID-19 is finally retracted. We've been saying for years it had to be (doi.org/10.1016/j.th...).
