I think I’ve decided to stop thinking about losing weight until after Christmas because the food & leftovers are doing me in. 😅

My turkey is deboned, seasoned, & separated into dark & light meat for optimal cooking temps. I roasted the bones & veggies to make a stock yesterday for my gravy & to add to the stuffing & greens. This might be the 1st holiday meal that I’m going to be done early with time to spare.

I popped onto Xitter briefly to see what’s going on over there & was immediately bombarded with trolls & racists. Idk if the toxic cesspool has gotten worse in the past few weeks or if it just seems worse compared to the sanity over here. Either way, I’m happy to have found a new home.

Let? We were forced outside. My grandma even installed a water fountain spout on the hose spigot so we wouldn’t come in the house. They had no clue where we were or what we were doing & they didn’t care as long as we were home when the street lights came on.

Believe me it’s much simpler than the roulade, which takes about 5 days to prepare. Turkey, oyster stuffing, mac & cheese, an collard greens. Nice & easy. I’ll actually be able to cook everything on thanksgiving day for a change. ☺️

I’m going to debone the entire turkey & making a demi-glacé with the bones. Haven’t decided if I’m going to sous vide or oven roast it yet. I usually make a turkey roulade but I’m keeping it simple this year.

That doesn’t work with these people. There are right wingers that voted for Trump because he said he’d get rid of Obamacare but not the affordable care act. They’re the same thing but these yahoos will never give Dems credit. They hate Obamacare because Obama did it but love their ACA coverage.

This! I’m so tired of hearing about the “working class” & economic anxiety like Black people aren’t working class & don’t suffer disproportionately economically. Yet we always understand the assignment & vote accordingly in the best interest of everyone.
