Yes, and the segmented networks maintained by every large organization. Your employer has a DMZ, an intranet, and often a test network and other internal security zones, all of which constitute the company internet.

It annoys me that a while back, a prominent dictionary decided "Internet" no longer needs capitalization. This is wrong. an internet is a network of networks. The Internet is the global internet most of use use for things like this. It's a proper noun, a name.
