I resigned from my position at #bigtech and have been laying low, looking for the next thing to go do. Maybe that's being #Amish.

So this is what a 'sabbatical' is like...

A mandarin orange peel skillfully peeled in one piece. It kinda looks like a person jogging, with the stem's dimple at butt / crotch level. All on a dinner tray from the zoo.

My wife was peeling an orange, which reminded me of the TTRPG world mapping technique of tracing the peel for a continent's shape.
Told my kids, splayed it out and... it's a dude running with his bhole out.

My office mates today

I heard later that in her court hearing that Grandma Millie saw the Lord Jesus appear in the courtroom before her very eyes. Word is that another witness, "an Asian Police Man" also saw the Lord and fell to his knees on the spot.
We never went to Grandma Millie's house again.

Mom has to leave her shift and come get us because Grandma Millie had just led an interstate police chase for drunk driving on the way back from Toys R Us. Apparently she had gotten wasted at the Bronze Hippo lounge at the nearby shopping center.

Coincidentally, we were 1 block away from the American Legion where my mom worked as a cocktail waitress at nights (Yes we stayed home alone at nights. We had been a Millie's since school got out that day).

Suffice to say, by the time we cross the bridge over the Columbia River back to Washington, we had 2+ Oregon patrol cars & at least 3 Washington cops pulling us over a few blocks after we got off the bridge.
