Illustrator, performer, walker of the hills at dusk, lunatic. I get paper dirty professionally. As it is said in Hookland, Re-enchantment is resistance. Pro EU, passionately anti fascist. https://thomassbrown.com/

A border of twisted trees witches, cats, bottles, a vulture and (if you squint a bit) a snake. Pencil drawing with colour applied.

Witches *and* cats.
That's pretty much everything, really.

Fiddler for a morris side (Border, naturally) who also happens to be a cat. A bemused moon looks on, all decorated with ribbons and bells. Pencil drawing with colour applied.

Seems quite obvious ( if less dramatic )

You must be proud!

That never works for me, oddly enough.
I'm glad you are still with us, though.

A belly-to-back suplex is absolutely the right choice for this as it allows you to see the ridiculous pointy hood get absolutely crushed moments before they slam into the ground. I guess a piledriver would also work in that regard, but suplexes are cooler imo 👀

All wise children in Hookland know that the gauge doesn't just measure the river at flood and drought, but tell you whether the brook is deep enough for Stay Belows to swim. – Stella Fleet #VOH

Screenshot of a book cover showing an illustration of a crow perched on an "ICE" jacket lying in the middle of a snow-lined road under the light of a full moon. The cover reads "ICE Out " by Charles de Lint. Text to the right of the cover reads "ICE came to Newford. Big mistake." and "Download for free!"

Urban fantasy author Charles de Lint just published a new "novelet" and released it for free, his stories of myth and magic and community and found family are full of so much love and hope and we could all use some of that right now

Thomas was raised by books in much the same way that Tarzan was raised by apes but with much less dramatic results. He got his first professional illustration gig when he was thirteen and has been working in the field since then. (Taking time out for meals and such.)

And, for World Book Day, an illustrator in love with books.
really. A lot.

Cover art for NIRA by Thomas Sniegoski and Jeannine Ascherson. showing an exotic female presenting person in an old fashioned pub, lit by candle and lantern light. They are surrounded by disturbing creatures (but they have a glass of whiskey) A fox/raven hybrid creature is perched on their shoulder.

Books are one of the things that stand between us and the abyss.

For #nationalbook day I'd like to have the work of Lord Dunsany widely read again. He inspired giants (Tolkien-Moorcock etc) but I love his work for its own sake. Poetic and haunting-full of landscape.

We adorn buildings with lithic lookouts not just for their delivering of stern beauty, but because some atavistic element aches for protection. Soot=scarred they may be,, but we first set those stone spirits to watch what was beyond our own eyes to see. – #CLNolan, BBC National Programme talk, 1933
