20. The Night Portrait by Laura Morelli. Dual historical narratives (one in Renaissance Italy & one in WWII Europe) tied together by Leonardo da Vinci’s “Lady with an Ermine” portrait. I learned some really interesting things!

19. The Murderer’s Ape by Jakob Wegelius. Yes, I picked it up from the YA section of the bookstore when shopping for a bday gift for my niece. Yes it was solely because of the title. But it ended up being a fun read — had a varied cast of characters that reminded me of Cordelia Underwood.

Maybe it wasn't a good idea for higher education to accommodate the higher education haters quite so much
Seems like all that civility isn't paying off

When children are starving to death, you do everything in your power to feed them.
It’s not complicated.
Feed starving kids. No matter what.

RFK Jr. cuts $500 million in mRNA vaccine contracts, dealing major blow to promising area of research
The cuts add to mounting evidence that Kennedy is pursuing an aggressive anti-vaccine agenda.
We need a word for someone who is beyond perverse, sadistic, sociopathic. Blocking mRNA vaccine research means that you or someone you love will die of something you could have avoided or survived. He is intentionally killing people.
