Also happening tomorrow is #freethebooks2025 where a bunch of spicy romance authors on KU are setting their book for free because fuck censorship. You’ll probably find the most options by searching the hashtag on instagram.

I haven’t seen much over here on the blue skies but if you search the hashtag on IG (and check your email newsletters) there are authors putting up quite a few free ebooks as a “fuck censorship” gesture today!

I'm participating in #FreeTheBooks2025 am anti-censorship protest for #SpicyBooks. All 4 of my books will be free tomorrow, February 17. I am working to get them free on Kindle, but I know for sure they will be free on B&N, Kobo, Smashwords, and more.

I've been stuck in the editing phase of my book for 2 years now... I changed enough in the beginning that it means changing every single chapter after. I think it's harder to edit because I'm trying to fit what I already wrote to what I changed... I may just need to start over from scratch. FML

Something you may not know about indie books and Amazon. There is no way to make your book free unless you are in ku, and then you can make it free once every 3 months. This means, for "wide" books it is hard to do short free promo. it's a process to convince Amazon to price match your book to $0
